Powered by a 3.4 Liter Hybrid Engine with a Mid-engine layout, and priced at $630,000, the Porsche 918 Concept is not your everyday drive…yet. It’s currently a concept which will become a production vehicle in 2012. It’s sooner than you think. Beautiful as hell, and more fuel economic than my 1994 Toyota Corolla, the Porsche 918 is a car that everyone (with lots of money) is looking forward to. Hell if I could afford it when it comes out, I’d drive it everywhere I go. With the bottle scraps I’m making now, I’d be damned if I could afford a Porsche in 2012, the most expensive Porsche at that. I hope they never release this car…ever!

It’s absolutely dreamy and I want one so bad. The only problem is like most of my design posts, they’re only available on the drawing board. There are no technical specifications available except that it’s going to have a mid-engine layout. The only thing available are absolutely mouth watering pictures. Check them out.

I saw lots of beautiful, mouthwatering sports cars. It was breathtaking. I hope I get to see another car show in Cebu this year.

They save you money. They don’t pollute the environment. They aren’t noisy. They look cool. However, there are things in the technology that electric cars use that CAN go wrong. I’m not saying that they WILL inevitably go wrong. These are just the things that they see might go wrong. Here’s the list:

  • Cruise Control
  • Anti-lock Brakes
  • Engine Control Module
  • Door locks
  • Power Steering
  • Electronic Throttle Control
  • Vehicle data bus

These things actually can go wrong with petrol powered cars. So I don’t see this as a big deal which they can’t fix or improve on when they start mass producing.
