DIRECTV Launches 3D HD Service
For those people who shelled out their hard earned cash for 3D HDTVs, here’s some good news. You can now shell out more of your hard earned cash to subscribe to DIRECTV 3D HD channels. The channels are free for existing DIRECTV subscribers, but it’s another $10.00 a month for a new subscription. Personally, I just can’t get off on the idea that I have to wear glasses to watch TV. It’s just ridiculous to me. Until they can bring the technology of the Nintendo 3DS to HDTV sized screens, I’ll pass on this one. But for you future forefront feeling people out there, I guess this is good news for you.
For existing and new subscribers to DIRECTV, if you’re interested in the 3D HD service, you can sign up [here].

The 3DS technology specifically dictates that you have to be in front of it … so no, you’d need a different form of technology.
