10 Common Compositions in Wedding Photography

Here’s a useful article I found on Photography Bay. I find it useful because I’ve shot a few weddings as a back up photographer. I’ve been using some of these composition rules myself. These common compositions can be useful to photographers who haven’t shot a single wedding and are looking to go into the business. When shooting a wedding, here are the things to look for:

  1. Symmetry
  2. Reflections
  3. Rows
  4. Intentional Misfocus
  5. Foregrounds
  6. Wide Shots
  7. Frames
  8. Close ups
  9. Rule of Thirds
  10. Right in Half

An explanation of each composition and sample pictures are provided on the site I found them on.
